As an autistic person with ADHD, how I experience and manage my world is best expressed through my art practice.
I enjoy creating highly-detailed intuitive work focusing on organic forms and instinctive pattern-making, made possible through unconscious repetition and meditation.
Letting go of intentional control restores my internal sensory regulation, creates an experience of deep patience, and a slowing or suspension of time.
Trusting spontaneous creation and intuitive gesture as an art practice enables me to enjoy experimenting with paradoxes, scale, depth, movement, complexity, tension, intensity and resolution.
Using abstract shadow mapping allows the forms to emerge out of the unknown, led by curioslty and surprise.
I am proud to be a member of the NEUK Collective - a community for and of neurodivergent artists across Scotland.
