Think of me as Mary Poppins for your business!
A Fellow of the School of Social Entrepreneurs, I graduated from Manchester Business School in 2018 with a Master of Enterprise postgraduate degree, having focused my research thesis on entrepreneurship. Since then, I have enjoyed working with businesses of all shapes and sizes, from different sectors across Scotland.
As co-Founder of the Rainbow Enterprise Network, I have mentored small and micro businesses on a one-to-one basis since launching in November 2020. Covering topics such as business model development, opportunity recognition, marketing and core purpose, my strategic support can help you re-connect with and develop your business.
As well as supporting individual businesses, I also work as a Grants Panellist / Assessor for UnLtd, the Foundation for Social Entrepreneurs, and for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society grants awards each year.
I have also worked as an Enterprise E-Mentor for The Prince's Trust, and I am the Mentor for the Somewhere MBA LGBT+ Scholarship at the University of Edinburgh Business School, now in its fourth year.
I would be delighted to help you re-ignite your passion for your business, and help find a collaborative strategy for improving your organisation's performance, profitability and impact. Get in touch today!

Having supported nearly 150 students (and rising!) in further and higher education (FE/HE), across a wide range of academic disciplines, at undergraduate and postgraduate level, I have ten very enjoyable years of experience in study skills. So far, I have worked with learners studying at seven different UK universities, including the Open University.
As a qualified Specialist One-to-One Study Skills and Strategy Support Tutor and I support students of all abilities, including those with diagnosed learning disabilities (SpLDs) such as dyslexia, dyspraxia and dysgraphia.
I am also a Specialist Mentor, trained and qualified to mentor students and adults on the autistic spectrum (accredited by the National Autistic Society) and I also work privately with professional people who are looking for strategies and support to manage key areas of their job. This not only helps people be more effective in their role, but it is crucial for personal confidence and a sense of achievement.
I also support students and professionals who identify as neurodivergent (ASC and ADHD), and those who have issues with managing their mental health due to conditions such as depression and anxiety, all of which can have a negative impact on managing work and wellbeing.
I am an Associate Member of The Dyslexia Guild (ADG FE/HE), and I undergo yearly training as part of my ongoing CPD.
I would be delighted to help you enjoy your learning, or better enjoy your professional work. Through exploration and imagination, we'll create strategies as unique as you are. Get in touch today!

Kathryn Pierce BA (Hons) MEnt, ADG FE/HE
When we were planning to set up Lavender Menace Queer Books Archive, Kath approached us and offered advice on setting up a community interest company.
She also mentored me on successfully applying for funding from various agencies. Kath impressed us with her ideas and energy, empowering us to reach our goals. Bob Orr
The support Kath provided was really useful for our remote team....The individual profiles around working styles have been really useful for us to update our approach to line management and better understand support needs across the team and as an organisation overall. Having Kath involved as a supportive critical friend has really helped us to live our values as a company aiming to have care at the centre of how we operate.
I have been working with Kath for 3 years, she is a strong listener and understands the significant ways in which this affects me. The most rewarding part is a custom-made recipe to support my processing / structuring information as well as organising and planning to help me complete projects successfully. It has been great to find a someone who has experience in art and design context.
"Thank you to Kath for your time and patience. I don’t think without your planning, visualisation and essay understanding skills I would have been able to complete all my work. I can hardly believe I have even managed to do it! And now with receiving my results and achieving a 2:1. I would like to share my excitement with you and will be forever grateful for your support in my final year. "
"Kath was really helpful, has made a big impact on how I look at scheduling my week and how to prioritise my work. She has been extremely flexible and that has made the whole process a lot more simple and easier to follow."
"My experience with Kath was brilliant. It was super easy to talk to her and communicate and she quickly gave effective support to me. The sessions were paced well for my learning and the ideas I was communicating were well understood. "
